Well, it wasn't really my idea, since that had already happened where I come from, right? But I like when you just go by Rise--it gives off more of a mature vibe, y'know?
[ Rise's question, followed by the rather lingering look she gives has Ann understandably flustered. She can feel her face heating up, and she fidgets slightly. Is this really happening? ]
Y-yes, I model part time, for now. Or... I did, before I came here. I want to be a full-time model one day, though! The best in the world! But I guess I'd have to make it home first for that to happen.
[ Ann shakes her head then, dropping the fruit into her makeshift bag. ]
No, I'm just picking fruit to eat. Save some money, you know.
How do you know you didn't give me the idea just now? [She says, teasing a little.] That's a nice dream! Modeling's hard work; I did a few photoshoots for ads and stuff, and it's waaaaaay more tiring than you'd think it'd be.
[If she's embarrassed at being caught checking Ann out, she certainly doesn't show it.
Her expression does turn sympathetic, though.] Oh, did you just get here? Getting food before you've started racking up the sex-bucks is a real pain. Been there.
[Rise pauses.] Are you hungry? I don't mind treating a fan, if you'd like something a li'l more substantial.
I guess there's no way to know, huh? But that's assuming you even remember any of this when you go back. I mean, you have to go back at some point, since I'm from the future and I know you've released stuff in your future... if that makes sense.
[ That's comforting in its own way, she supposes; it represents a light at the end of the tunnel. They all find a way home eventually.
Ann's brain stutters a little at Rise's next comment. ]
S-sex bucks? Oh no. I--no. I don't... I'd rather not. [ She's visibly embarrassed by the verbal flailing, her cheeks turning red. There's no way she could possibly explain her situation to Rise Kujikawa... right? ] I just had... some bad experiences. I want to find a way around all that stuff as much as I can.
[ Still, the offer of food perks her back up again. ]
[Rise's first reaction is to giggle a little at Ann's obvious flustered reaction, letting the talk of time paradoxes just pass her by because thinking about that stuff makes her head hurt.
But then her expression falls a little.] Ugh, there's so much room for bad experiences here, especially for a girl. I hope it wasn't anything too bad.
[And she reaches out to grab Ann's hand. Apparently the bubbly, affectionate girl from the talk shows isn't an act.] But yeah! You're not imposing at all. It's not often I meet sommeone here who actually knows who I am, right?
[ Ann is clearly surprised by the hand holding, especially being as flustered as she'd been a moment before. Rise really does seem like a sweet girl, though, and her concern is pretty touching. In spite of that, Ann still hedges a bit when talking about her experience. ]
It was... [ Really bad. ] Let's just say the guy's in jail now, for a very long time.
[ Rise's cheer is infectious, at least, and Ann can't help but smile. ]
